Army National Guard 'Tour of Champions' to honor the Whitehaven Tigers | Community Spirit
Their hard work and determination on the football field continues to pay off for the Whitehaven High School football team.
Friday, January 4, the Tigers will be presented with the Army National Guard national ranking trophy as part of the eighth annual MaxPreps Football Tour of Champions.
Back in December, the Tigers pulled of a one-point, dramatic win against Maryville to clinch their first 6-A state championship. The Tigers had to snap Maryville's 43-game winning streak to bring home the title.
Whitehaven is one of 50 schools being honored on this season's Football Tour of Champions. The presentation will be Friday, January 4 at 1 p.m. inside the auditorium at Whitehaven High School on Elvis Presley Blvd. Representatives from the Army National Guard will present the team with the Army National Guard national ranking trophy in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
