Man charged with okra, tomato, chicken theft | Crime
(WMC-TV) - Police say they've cracked the case of a burglary that left a popular wing restaurant with more than a thousand dollars in damage and a lot of missing food.
Crumpy's, 4641 Millbranch Rd., was burglarized just before 3:30 a.m. on July 28, but the crook wasn't just after cash, according to court records. Instead of money, police say the thief stole chicken, tomatoes, okra, carrots, soda.
In addition to all the food, Seneca Toliver is accused of taking a safe, a television and causing about $1,200 in damage to the restaurant's window and cash register.
Police say the 26-year-old confessed to the crime when he was arrested Wednesday.
Toliver has been charged with burglary, theft and vandalism.
