Whitehaven house fire causes $120,000 in damage
(WMC-TV) – A faulty electrical outlet caused a fire that forced a family of nine to flee their Whitehaven home, according to the Memphis Fire Department.
The fire, which broke out around 7 a.m., caused about $120,000 in damage to the Whitehaven home, according to investigators.
It took fire crews just less than 30 minutes to extinguish the flames, a fire department spokesman said.
While no one was injured during the blaze, two adults and seven children were forced to seek assistance from the Red Cross.
